Finally a true Winter Snowfall in Massachusetts

Over the course of this winter, Massachusetts has only seen snowfall a handful of times. The last snowfall from Winter Storm Jonas barely even hit my hometown, and then we had weather in the 40’s and 50’s for the entire week after melting what little snow we did in fact get. This morning I woke up thinking we were only supposed to get a max of 3 inches during today’s storm, but it turns out we actually got hit harder than expected and have closer to 8 inches. I just got home from work, and on my ride home the sky started to clear up and the sun came out, making our recent snowfall look extra pretty! I also just got a new IPhone 6s and wanted to test out the camera to see how it fares compared to my old Samsung Galaxy 5s, so below are a few shots from our recent snowstorm!

  1. Looks beautiful, but I can imagine it creates its own problems to live with. It’s quite foreign to me living in sunny Queensland. I’d love to sample some snow at the moment. Great pictures. 🙂

    1. Thank you! Dealing with the snow up here really isnt too bad, you get used to it when you live an area that tends to get snow quite a bit, I wish I was in Queensland though where it’s sunny right now instead of here where it’s cold haha! What are your winters like in Queensland?

      1. Our winters are not really winters where I live. In Brisbane the days are usually very mild – they get up to over 20C. We sometimes get frosts but the days warm up very quickly and usually we have blue skies. 🙂

      2. That’s good to know! I’m going to Brisbane for a week at the end of May/beginning of June and I knew that was around the fall/winter period over there but didn’t really know what to expect for weather while there!
